Several phone calls after an Internet trawl allowed me to acquire an appointment in Retford. A 40 minute bus ride from West Stockwith....thank heaven for the bus pass!!
I had a wander round Retford afterwards as I had a longish wait for the return journey, sussed out the mooring possibilities for when we come through but was not very impressed.....it looked like a place to stop and shop if necessary but not for overnight.....maybe it will look better when we approach on the water.
The stopover was not unwelcome as it was a rainy dull day, we are hoping for better tomorrow but the forecast shows unsettled for the rest of the week...we shall see....
