About turn and back to Lapworth

We could have continued up the Knowle locks and into Birmingham but we have done that route in the other direction and the memory tells us it was not brilliant.  The memory is somewhat influenced by the fact that we had a major snarl up round the prop whilst traversing 2 years ago.  Instead we decided to return to Lapworth and go the more scenic route, at least for the first past.

We took  the opportunity to water at the bottom of the locks before executing a rather tight turn around.   Barney and I then set off for our customary walk and were accompanied for the first part by a very protective Daddy swan who was none too keen on Barney.

A sharp right turn at Kingswood junction and we decided to go up the first 6 of the Lapworth locks....nice single locks again.    Plenty of room to moor after the 6th lock and more to the point good TV reception.......Wimbledon is on!

Total distance:4.19 miles
Elapsed time:3h31m8s
