Weekend in Barnby Dun again

Friday was another lovely run down to Barnby Dun with a stop for a couple of hours to shop in Doncaster.  It was another market day so we are well stocked up again, although with Emma and Boe on board quite a dent has already been made!  Saturday was a leisurely day.
Geoff was on the doorstep of the Barber Shop in the village at 9 am to get his beard trimmed and came back a very smart man!

It must be one of the scruffiest barber shops he has visited
Later Geoff and the girls walked the 3 miles to the New Inn at Stainforth and after a couple of drinks Boe ran back whilst Emma and Geoff took it at a more leisurely pace.   Boe did think she had made an error as it was exceptionally hot....mustn't complain about the sun......

Sat evening we visited the Olive Tree in Barnby Dun which was much busier than when we were here 2 weeks ago.  However we had another good meal.   All their grills are served with a hot lava stone and you cook the meat your self.
The mooring here is very congenial and we have the company of the 6 cooling towers again

The forecast gave showers for Sunday but we were not prepared for the heavy set in rain, what a change from the last few days.  Still it has saved me watering the flowers and all those people with gardens will be happy.  The plan is to move on to Goole tomorrow.  We need diesel and there has been a lack of places on this stretch.  Have checked with the boatyard and ascertained their prices and we can declare our own split.  70p domestic and £1.13 for propulsion.
