The weather was kind to us, no rain and not too hot.......
leaving Cropredy we passed this boat which Geoff took a picture of for our younger daughter....as that is one of her nicknames......
BO DIDDLEY |
WE ALSO PASSED THIS RATHER SMART GARDEN (BOAT) SHED |
Maggie relaxing on the bench whilst the men do the work.....just as it should be!! |
When he wasn't on his phone..... |
After all the locks were done, he was also good at relaxing with the skipper..... |
Our other crew member was more proficient at photography!! |
On arrival at Fenny Compton we were dismayed to see how busy it was and there was almost 'No room at the Inn'
There were no spaces at all before the bridge where we usually moor but we were very lucky to find just one free slot a little way after the bridge...in fact it was a better mooring as the tow path was wider so Barney approved.
Ian & Christine arrived for drinks about 6 and we later repaired for a very good supper at the pub. Ian then drove Wally and Maggie back to collect the car from the bottom of Claydon locks.............
Total distance:6.42 miles
Elapsed time:5h26m44s
Locks:9
