Onward again

Well it was certainly better this morning as it was not raining but there was still a pretty strong wind.
Church at Hartshill
Hartshill Yard
Before setting off Geoff wanted to go back to the watering point which was an interesting manoeuvre in the wind....Then it was goodbye Hartshill and off towards Atherstone.

We passed this boat which appeared to take solar energy very seriously.  If you enlarge the picture you can see he (maybe it's a she) has the whole roof covered in panels.
When we reached Atherstone there was space for one boat on the moorings above the top lock which we decided to take.  I did walk down the first 5 locks to the next moorings which were much more rural but more trees around so we decided to stay put.  TV reception was OK and close to the shops and for church tomorrow,
I also took the plunge and booked for a hair cut later in the afternoon......this is always a dodgy business whilst we are away.  I have had the same hairdresser for years at home and he knows exactly what to do....not so everyone else.....the jury is still out on this one.....
Last night I read Piston Broke's blog with their tale of having ropes cut and stolen right where we are moored.  They have dogs on board who did not warn them so we stand no chance of Barney helping us!!  We shall just have to hope for the best.
