....and still it raineth.......
thoughts of painting the gunnels on Petroc, before we depart on our busman's holiday on the French rivers for a week, are fading fast................
Petroc was built by Darren Aldridge Boats. We are very pleased with her as she is light and airy and also comfortable to live on. This is our 15th year of cruising throughout the summer. (Of a 5 year plan!) We let our house in Cornwall out to holidaymakers, see the link on right hand side

Getting ready
Well......getting ready in very slow time. We managed a dry day on TUesday so were able to load everything on board but since then it has been incredibly wet so we have continued staying with friends Fran and Keith. The rain has undoubtedly come because the drought has been declared!!
Tomorrow we do plan our first night aboard to test that everything is working after its winter rest.
We then have a weekend of socialising with friends so no time for boat painting.......

Cruising time is getting closer
Well, something must be due to happen as we are spring cleaning the house...........only 2 more weeks before the first of out summer guests take up residence in Brambles allowing us to live our alternate summer lifestyle.
We won't be cruising just yet however as we have decided to have a busman's (Boatman's??) holiday. We are going on the French rivers for a week to be waited on, so no serious cruising on Petroc until mid May.
However we are a little worried about the lack of water.......just hope we can get away from Clifton and head vaguely North West where we hope they have more water........
